Some of our most frequently asked questions:

 

What is included in the room rate?    

     All rooms feature private bathrooms, air conditioning, televisions with DVD players, Wi-Fi, and are 4-star Canada Select rated.       Included in the price of your room is a complimentary continental breakfast buffet.

 What is your booking/cancellation policy? 

      We cannot hold any room without a credit card number.   Cancellation without charge is 48 hours prior to expected arrival.  A $50 fee will apply for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance of your booking (except in the event of extreme weather or emergency).

When should I phone to book a room?

     The most convenient time for us to take phone calls is between 10am and 5pm Atlantic time as we are a small establishment and may be busy with other guests outside these times.  If you are unable to reach us outside this time period, please leave a detailed message and we will respond the following day between 10am and 5pm.  

 

What time is check-in/check-out?

     Guests are invited to check in between the hours of 3pm and 10pm during the summer months (May to September), and 3pm to 8pm during the winter months (October to April). Check-out time is by 11am year round.  Check-in or check-out outside these times is by prior arrangement only.  If you require a late check-in (after 10pm) please inform us at the time of your booking.

Can I bring my dog?

     Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement--please mention this at the time of your booking.

Do you accommodate vegetarians?

     If you have special dietary or physical requirements during your stay, please inform us at the time of your booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.

 Can I have champagne in my room upon arrival?

     If you would like champagne, chocolates, or anything special in your room upon arrival, please mention it at the time of your booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request. 

 Can I arrange for flowers in my room upon arrival?

     If you would like flowers in your room upon arrival you can order a special arrangement directly from Hoyt's Florist and ask to have them delivered to the Castle--we will make sure they are in your room when you arrive.  Please notify us in advance if you choose to do so.
